Use this page after a job change is confirmed for a former buyer, customer champion, evaluator, or power user. It owns the re-engagement decision. Job changes and CRM cleanup owns detecting the move, preserving the evidence, and preparing CRM updates.

Qualify the relationship first

Before drafting outreach, verify all of the following:
  • The current employer and role, with a profile or other public source.
  • The prior relationship and why this person was a champion or buyer.
  • The new account’s ICP fit, customer status, and active-deal status.
  • The original owner, suppression state, and any negative customer history.
An employer mismatch alone is a lead, not proof of a move. Keep uncertain matches in the review file.

Keep these fields and boundaries

Keep the previous company, relationship type, original owner, last interaction, current-role evidence, and decision outcome. Your team should set scan cadence and territory handling; those are operating policies, not facts a job-change match can decide. A former champion at a non-ICP company can be retained as a relationship record, but should not be added to a campaign by default.
