Agent guide: CLI and SDK instructions →

1. Have your context ready

Keep the original request details, any saved execution identity, and the time of the interruption. Do not create a replacement request first.

2. Ask your agent

Paste this into your agent, then provide your task and example inputs when it asks:
Complete any requested sign-in yourself. Give the agent the missing information before approving execution. Provider-backed work can incur usage.

3. Review the result

The agent distinguishes an execution result from an uncertain outcome and reconciles recorded usage. A recovery key is scoped to the original input; it is not permission to repeat unrelated work. Ask your agent:
Approve a larger job, recurring work, or external changes only after reviewing that decision.

Check your understanding

The original response is uncertain. Should the agent change the input and reuse the original request identity?
No. Ask it to inspect the original request first. A changed task is separate work, not recovery of the original response.
