Before you start
Make sure that:- Grok Bot is installed and you are signed in.
- You can open an agent chat in Grok Bot.
- Grok Bot has computer access enabled if required for your workspace settings.
Install Deepline
- Open the Grok Bot app.
- Open an existing agent chat, or create a new agent from the sidebar.
-
Paste this setup prompt into the chat and send:
- When the agent opens browser authorization, approve Deepline for the workspace you intend to use.
- Wait for setup to finish before sending another Deepline request.
After setup completes, the agent can run Deepline commands and use Deepline skills.
Run one small request
Start with this request:A successful first run returns a small result set and its Deepline-credit usage. Review the fields and unresolved results before asking for more rows.
Troubleshoot
- A live call fails: confirm that computer access is enabled and that Grok Bot can reach the internet.
- Authorization repeats: make sure you approved Deepline for the intended workspace during setup.
- CLI setup fails: ask Grok Bot to run
deepline doctor --jsonand follow the next action in its response. Do not start a second setup while authorization is pending. - Computer access is unavailable: check Grok Bot settings for computer access permissions. Update the settings if needed, then retry setup.
- Network or sandbox install issues: if the global CLI install fails in Grok Bot’s environment, the agent can use a project-local install instead. The canonical install guide handles this automatically.
