# Email Waterfall with Validation

> Ask your agent to choose the correct email lookup or validation path.

[Agent guide: CLI and SDK instructions →](/docs/plays/task-email-waterfall-with-validation)

## 1. Have your context ready

State whether you have a known email, a person and company domain, or a professional profile. Define the accepted verification outcomes.

## 2. Ask your agent

Paste this into your agent, then provide your task and example inputs when it asks:

```deepline-prompt theme={null}
/deepline-gtm Choose a Deepline email workflow for the identifiers I provide. If I already have an email, inspect a validation action. Otherwise inspect the maintained lookup route for my name-and-company or profile input. Explain which statuses can be accepted, rejected, or held under my policy. Propose one small request before executing and retain the actual source and validation evidence.
```

Complete any requested sign-in yourself. Give the agent the missing information before approving execution. Provider-backed work can incur usage.

## 3. Review the result

A found email and an accepted verification result are separate facts. Keep catch-all, unknown, invalid, provider-error, and no-match outcomes visible.

Ask your agent:

```deepline-prompt theme={null}
/deepline-gtm Compare the result with the acceptance rule we agreed. Show the evidence for accepted and rejected outcomes, unresolved questions, and recorded Deepline usage where work ran. If work is still running or a response is uncertain, inspect the original saved execution before proposing another request. Explain the next decision I need to make.
```

Approve a larger job, recurring work, or external changes only after reviewing that decision.

## Check your understanding

The agent reports a validated email. Does that guarantee future delivery and current employment?

> No. Ask it to review identity, employment, validation evidence, and downstream
> permission as separate decisions.
