# Company news and public engagement

> Ask your agent to qualify company news and public engagement evidence.

[Agent guide: CLI and SDK instructions →](/docs/plays/signal-company-news)

## 1. Have your context ready

Have target company identifiers, the source event, its date, and a definition of relevant news.

## 2. Ask your agent

Paste this into your agent, then provide your task and example inputs when it asks:

```deepline-prompt theme={null}
/deepline-gtm Review this company news or public-engagement signal with Deepline. Preserve the original source, date, and matched company identity. Check whether it meets my relevance and freshness rules. Distinguish a company-level event from evidence about a particular person. Return a cited summary, confidence limits, and a proposed next review action. Do not convert public engagement into inferred private intent.
```

Complete any requested sign-in yourself. Give the agent the missing information before approving execution. Provider-backed work can incur usage.

## 3. Review the result

The evidence supports the stated event at the intended company. A company signal does not establish that a named individual engaged or wants contact.

Ask your agent:

```deepline-prompt theme={null}
/deepline-gtm Compare the result with the acceptance rule we agreed. Show the evidence for accepted and rejected outcomes, unresolved questions, and recorded Deepline usage where work ran. If work is still running or a response is uncertain, inspect the original saved execution before proposing another request. Explain the next decision I need to make.
```

Approve a larger job, recurring work, or external changes only after reviewing that decision.

## Check your understanding

Does a news article prove that the company needs your product?

>
> No. Use the dated observation to form a relevant question. Keep purchase
> intent unconfirmed.
